Pulahela graduated with an LLB degree at the North West University in 2002 and served articles of clerkship in the Community Law Centre at the North West University, Mafikeng Campus from August 2002 to June 2003. He ceded his contract of articles to S.M Mookeletsi and continued to serve his articles of clerkship at S M Mookeletsi Attorneys a firm of attorneys situated in Mafikeng from July 2003 until he completed his period of articles in August 2004;
Pulahela was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa on the 19th November 2004 and immediately thereafter he was appointed as a Professional Assistant by S M Mookeletsi Attorneys for a period of seven years and six months. He co-founded Motshabi & Modiboa Attorneys as a partner.
He also served as a part time lecturer for the Law of Insolvency at the North West University; Mafikeng Campus in 2007.
